Meet Richard Davies
The Chef behind the New Menu at the Backyard

If you have visited Briars Sports this past month and dined at the Backyard, you most certainly would have caught glimpses of our new chef Richard, cooking up a storm in the kitchen at the Backyard.

Richard has worked extensively in Australia, Grand Cayman, London and Singapore broadening his culenary skills and techniques while mastering management and operations, delivering innovative menus for bistro style, open grill, a la carte restaurants, banquets, events and outside catering. He has successfully run comprehensive operations for large scale dining to a high quality of standard, ensuring customer satisfaction through each and every engagement.

Richard will be hands on at the Backyard, organising day to day operations in both the planning and execution of lunch, dinner and function services. His new menu which was launched a week ago has had rave reviews. My personal favourites so far have been the Crispy Pork Belly Salad with Asian Slaw & Thai Dressing and the Black Mussels served with spaghetti, tomato, garlic & parsley. There are many more delicious dishes to try, so what are you waiting for? Come on in and savour the new flavours at the Backyard.

Kate Wells supports Richard, as the new Function Coordinater for the Backyard, she is responsible for scheduling events and providing high level package information to clients who would like to hold a function at the Backyard. Operating Hours for the Backyard:
  • Monday to Thursday: 12 – 3pm | 5 – 8.30pm
  • Friday: 12 – 3pm | 5pm – 9pm
  • Saturday: 11am – 9pm
  • Sunday: 11am – 8pm
  • Public Holidays: 12 – 3.30pm | 4.30 – 8pm
