Briars Netball
July 2022 – Quarterly Report

After a wet start to the season our teams are well and truly under way. Since the start of the season the following achievements have occurred:

• When a volunteer achieves something above and beyond expectations we put on our socials our ‘Volunteer of the Week’. So far the following people have received this accolade for a variety of reasons; Steven Winstanley, Alana Winstanley (x2), Laura Eastlake, Tilly Ryan, Cara Edwards and Celeste Jackson-Snow.
• The following umpires received their association badge – Laura Eastlake, Grace Hayman, Elia Malgioglio, and Aurelia Flammia.
• The following umpires received their club badge; Thashalia Naidoo,  Abbey Wollen, Niamh Ogle, and Elizabeth Broadbent.
• Some of our u8 and u9 teams had a wonderful time playing at the Inner West Netball Assocation gala day that was organised after weeks of rain saw their Saturday games cancelled.
• Laura Eastlake who plays, coaches and umpires was nominated by her school and will receive; The Order of Australia Association Youth Community Service Award for her dedication and work to volunteering in netball.
