Briars Netball Celebrate a Golden Weekend!
Briars Netball Club had 9 teams playing in the Grand Finals at Cintra on Saturday 27th August.
The early games were played in torrential rain, which saw our teams use their short passes and strong foot work skills to their advantage. By lunch time the sun had come out for the afternoon games where our shooters excelled in the fine conditions.
All of our teams gave 100% and played with true Briars passion. Briars had the best supporters as they cheered, clapped and congratulated all participants.
We had some very happy coaches and managers as they celebrated all of their hard work with their teams over this year. We came away with 6 teams winning their respective premierships! Our 3 runners up teams all came oh so close to victory themselves. Our Cadet Rubies team were awarded the association’s Best Defence Team!

We also had a number of our nationally badged umpires adjudicating over other games, they all worked hard in their whites in the rain and we thank them for their time and commitment to netball.
We look forward to all of our teams celebrating their season with our first presentation day in 2 years!

- 2.30pm – 4.30pm: u12 – Cadets
We will have a celebration for our Seniors Teams back at Briars on the 17 September from 6pm!
