Briars Centenary Luncheon
Friday, 4th May 2018
The Briars Centenary Luncheon held on Friday, 4th May took place at NSW Parliament. What a stunning venue, with beautiful views overlooking the Domain and Royal Botanical Gardens. It was a wonderful occasion for Briars members and friends to get together and catch up.
Proceedings started with a welcome from John Sidoti MP member for Drummoyne. Graig Laundy, member for Reid was MC for the afternoon. Both John and Craig entertained us with humorous story’s, setting the tone for a great afternoon.
We watched Brad Blaze, the #1 worldwide speed painter, as he kept us guessing while painting 3 portraits in 15 minutes, live on stage. What an amazing talent!
Guest speakers Andrew Mehrtens & Joe Roff amused us with stories of the All Blacks and Wallabies in rugby days of the past.
Thanks once again to John Price and all those people who helped organise the Centenary Luncheon.
Congratulations to those lucky few who were fortunate enough to walk away with a portrait painted by Brad Blaze.
